Lyocell Fiber Manufacturing Has Rapidly Gained Prominence As a Sustainable Alternative to Conventional Viscose Processes.

Unlike the viscose process, which relies on complex chemical transformations and can introduce hazardous by-products, lyocell production utilizes a closed-loop approach cantered on the physical dissolution of cellulose. The solvent used—N-methyl morpholine-N-oxide (NMMO)—is almost completely 99.5% recoverable, significantly reducing environmental impact and supporting responsible manufacturing.
Efficient mixing is essential in producing high-quality lyocell fiber, where cellulose is dissolved in NMMO. This high-viscosity process demands an equipment that enables thorough and reliable mixing while accommodating solvent recovery and vacuum operation.
